When your name is Kenny Perry you have a legacy to live up to. Even after facing a disappointing loss in the Masters, Kenny Perry honestly assessed his performance and made no excuses. He made many, many golfers proud of how he handled a tough loss that Sunday.
"I received almost 600 e-mails. I received hundreds of cards and letters. People who genuinely cared," Perry said. "And the letters all started out, 'I've never written a letter like this, but I just felt compelled to write to you.'"
It really sounds to me like Perry is going to continue playing his TaylorMade r7 Irons after such an amazing Masters in 2009. They were consistently sticking greens and falling tightly to each pin. Performance and consistency is what got Kenny Perry where he is today.
